The Network of Networks in Defense of Humanity participation in a ¨Bloggers¨ event.

Gonzalez recalled the early stages of the Network in 2003, a particular time during a campaign of ideological subversion against Cuba that became harsher after the events of September 11, 2001 in New York and Washington.
He referred to the challenges of the network today, in a world where banality has been imposed as part of an act of the neoliberal globalization, where individuals are ignored and culturally disrespected. Cuba is aware of this phenomenon.
The main focus of The Network in Defense of Humanity, Gonzales explained is the defense of the planet for all, sovereignty and international law, culture and knowledge for all, popular participation, defense of memory, and, peace issues that stir this contemporary global society that is faces disaster, loneliness, lies and exclusion.
The coordinator of the Network also addressed the need for more Cuban intellectuals to join the changes in the island as well as other sectors such as scientific societies, technical and social sciences.
González also propose a synergy between the Network and the May Bloguerias Festival with the confluence of intellectuals from the five continents.
The main focus during the 2nd Bloguerias Festival with the participation of bloggers from all the Cuban territory was a debate on the ideological subversion against Cuba and other processes in Latin-American.
