Communiqué of the Nicaraguan Chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity to the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference

1. Considering that the communiqué dated January 12 of 2015 the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference officially has made a declaration that are not in tune to its pastoral function agreeing with the extreme right wing of the political opposition to the Bolivarian Revolution.

2. Considering that these bishops decide to go public. They must receive the pertinent answers.

3. Also, considering the Bolivarian Revolution is at the center of the libertarian winds that blow throughout our Large Homeland, Indo Latina American-Afro Caribbean and that, therefore, it corresponds to all of us to defend it as well as defend Nicolás Maduro Moros honorable son of the spiritual eternal Comandante Hugo Chávez Frías.

4 Considering that their inadmissible Episcopalian document is a declaration of war against the Bolivarian Revolution, against socialism and the legitimate wishes and right of the most marginalized and excluded sectors of Venezuelan society and our Large Homeland in general.

5. The Nicaraguan Chapter in Defense of Humanity rejects and condemns strongly and categorically:

a) Takes this opportunity to remind messieurs bishops that with the poor that judges them and their behavior and not them to the poor.

b) That Jesus is a heritage of Humanity and not the property of any church or Episcopal conference.

c) And it is an unforgivable abuse to take the name of Jesus and Maria to make declarations against the Rights of the poor and that, by doing it, makes them imposters when the world wants to follow the disciples of Jesus.

d) That as recently we Pope Francisco recalled the situations of so flagrant injustices of today’s world that if one cannot be a revolutionary one cannot be Christian.

6. By rejecting and condemning energetically the counter revolutionary declaration of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference we express our most absolute and categorical solidarity for Nicolás Maduro, constitutional President of the Venezuelan Bolivarian Republic and its heroic people hoping that they are not deceived by these bishop and vote in favor of the real defenders of the rights of the people in the next parliamentary elections.
