Members of the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity expressed in a document: “This 6 of December we are all Chavistas-Bolivarian” and support the Venezuelan Government of President Nicolás Maduro against the media attack that exists nationally and internationally in the parliamentary elections this coming December 6.
Latin American intellectual, Héctor Díaz Polanco said in a press conference in Caracas that there is a unique democratic festivity that has been poorly seen in other nations of the region.
“Few countries in the world can enjoy such a democratic ambiance such as this and such a reliable and sure electoral system that has even been recognized by the Carter Center”, he said.
The Latin American intellectual pointed out in a document the demand to the opposition sector to respect the electoral power and results of the process in December 6.
“The international community and other multilaterals organizations such as the Organization of American States (OAS) should respect the will of the people”, he added.
Also Polanco called on the Venezuelan people to vote for the future of the country. “We should not give even one vote to the representatives of the oligarchy or the empire”.
In addition, the Venezuelan journalist and historian Luis Britto García, insisted that all parts involved in the coming elections express their commitment to the election results, as has been done by the GPP alliance, whatever the outcome.
“The opposition has never accepted the will of the people in any of our electoral processes”, he recalled.
García expressed his support of the candidates that represent a continuity of all the social conquests that, During the Bolivarian Revolution, have been achieved by the Venezuelan people.
“Today we hope the people, with their vote, will support the social conquests that have made Venezuelan the country with less social inequality in the capitalist Latin America”, said the writer.
