The Strengths of Evo Morales
Source: Prensa Latina
The recent victory of Evo Morales in Bolivia has demonstrated the willingness of the population that is now represented, following years of invisibility in their own country, while validating again the strengths of a leader emerged from the people.
According to preliminary data, at least 60 percent of the population agreed to give the first indigenous president the opportunity of continuing the process of transformations began nine years ago, which has led to social economic improvements, international recognition and eradication of poverty.Analysts forecast Morales' reelection because of his ability to implement a coherent and humanist policy that changed an exclusive and unstable State into a plurinational one, free of the neocolonialism's influences, serious and respected worldwide.Argentinian journalist Carlos Aznarez wrote yesterday an article about the significance of the overwhelming victory of the leader of the party Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS).In his opinion, Evo Morales caused a resounding defeat of the right-wing and colonialists that since 1492 seek to humiliate, destroy and wipe out the native communities.Aznarez said that Morales won because he has committed himself to the Latin American and the Caribbean integration, he has joined mechanisms such as the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America and he has not hesitated to denounce a threat like the Pacific Alliance against the unity of the continent.Journalist Ignacio Ramonet shared those ideas and said also that Morales has showed that an indigenous person can be the best president of a country while keeping the pride of his origin and fostering a developed economy through new policies. He mentioned as positive elements that during Morales' management, Bolivia changed from a poor and raw-material supplier country to a nation that shows the highest economic growth in South America, prevailing over neighboring countries previously considered unassailable.
