The Network in Defense of Humanity in the Caribbean mobilizes in defense of the Bolivarian Revolution

The 30 Caribbean personalities from 11 French speaking and English be in favor and offer support of solidarity in the battle of the peoples and the process of social change; promotion of cultural diversity; defense of human rights and the environment; opposed to imperialist and neo liberals policies; denounce the imperialist aggression, terrorism and its consequences; combat hunger, destitution and health and education crisis that affect humanity; and the exercise of autonomy for the native peoples and African and Asian descendents; the supply of historical data and legal assistance in the case of genocide, destruction of an ethnic group or their culture; crimes against humanity; of development of ideas and actions of the progressive movements under the premise that a better world is possible; and promote unity, peace, democracy and political and economic integration of the Caribbean including its decolonization.
Under these principles a day of support for Venezuela was organized that included a Declaration in Solidarity with Venezuela and take urgent measures to send an absolutely clear sign to the government of the United States of America that the nations and peoples of the Caribbean consider Venezuela a sister nation and member of ourCaribbean civilization. The accuse and repudiate all intents of interference in the internal affairs of that sister nation including all intents to attack, subvert and overthrow the democratically elected president Nicolás Maduro and his United Socialist Party.

The text points out that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has become a symbol of hope in the world for persons who suffer exploitation, poverty, insecurity caused by the national and international elites who tend to appropriate the resources and wealth that belong to the peoples and for those who desire an existence characterized by peace, humanity, freedom, national sovereignty, dignity, solidarity, fraternity and human welfare.

They emphasized the historical role played by Comandante Hugo Chávez who led the campaign to defeat the FTAA (ALCA) and together with his country and progressive countries of Our America established the Bolivarian Alliance for Latin America and the Caribbean (ALBA), the Agreement of cooperation Petro Caribe Energía, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States CELAC), the International Bank of the South (Banco del Sur), and the Television Network of the South (Telesur) among many other initiatives. These and other similar initiatives are aimed and strengthening the spirit of cooperation between Venezuela and the rest of the Caribbean thereby strengthening the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.

This event ended Saturday the 14th of November with a March in favor of Peace that counted with the participation of all our friends (movements of solidarity and the Caribbean Chapter) the Plaza of Independence in the center of Bridgetown with a mass, speeches and media coverage.
