His Holiness Patriarch Kirill visited Fidel (Photos)

His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia made a visit of courtesy, Saturday afternoon, to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz.


During the meeting Fidel spoke recognized Patriarch Kirill for his important contribution to the strengthening friendship between the Russian and Cuban people and the values that unite us and exchanged discussions of subjects about the causes of the poor, the fight against discrimination, preservation of peace and survival of the
human race.

They also commented on the good relations between Russia and Cuba based on the deep sentiments and bonds of friendship.
The meeting developed in a relaxed climate of respect and coincidence regarding several issues discussed.

This is the second meeting of the Patriarch and Fidel Castro. The first was in Havana on October 20 of 2008 during the Days of Russia in Latin America.
