Declaration of Cuban students in solidarity with the Mexican students

Source Juventud Rebelde

Cuban students, faithful to our history of solidarity and internationalism, inspired by the example of Martí and the teachings of Fidel, strongly condemn the torture and crime and disappearances;
we ratify that we are with the Mexican people in their demand for justice. The text is the following:

For the past few weeks in Latin America and very specifically its student movement have followed the evolution of the extraordinary and dramatic events: the disappearance of the 43 teacher’s students in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. There have been many demonstrations of solidarity sent by the student movements to the families and Mexican people that have supported the demand for their fellow students. Each message has been an inspiration to continue the battle.

Cuban student youths, heirs of the revolutionary tradition of Julio Antonio Mella, condemn the violence and drug trafficking, the result of years of exploitation, destitution and policies submitted to the interests of Yankee imperialism.

Cuban students, faithful to our history of solidarity and internationalism, inspired by the example of Martí and the teachings of Fidel, strongly condemn the torture and crime and disappearances and ratify that we are with the Mexican people in their demand for justice.

Each Cuban school is also entrenched in the struggle for the truth
