The independent Cuban journalist in prison, Yoeni Jesus Guerra Garcia remains in a critical mental and physical state. According to three notes written by the victim to the Council of Human Rights Rapporteurs in Cuba as well as several denunciations provided by inmates via telephone to the Council the life of Yoeni Jesus Guerra Garcia is presently in jeopardy after being sexually tortured and beaten repeatedly with violence by agents of the political police and military personnel at the Nieves Morejon Prison. The inmates' testimonies concur that the head of the independent journalist is swollen and full of bumps and that he's suffered several nervous breakdowns as the result of the torments he has been subjected to by prison officials and the drugs mixed in his food without his consent.

Yoeni Jesús Guerra García, se encuentra en crítico estado de salud psíquico y físico, con riesgo para su integridad y su vida, después que fue abusado sexualmente y molido a palos en varias ocasiones por agentes de la Policía Política y militares de la cárcel Nieves Morejón, según 3 notas escritas por la propia víctima a este reportero y varias denuncias enviadas por teléfono al Consejo de Relatores, desde esa penitenciaría por reclusos contestatarios. Distintos reos coinciden en que la cabeza del reportero está llena de chichones y con gran inflamación. Además, en que ha hecho repetidas crisis de nervios debido a la violación y a los tormentos y tratos crueles a que ha sufrido en las últimas 4 semanas y a sustancias y medicinas que los gubernamentales le han introducido en sus alimentos, sin su consentimiento.
