The ultra right wing conservatives of Miami confirmed that they would ignite the well known scandals after the governments of the United States and Cuba decided to re establish diplomatic relations and begin a process of normalization of bilateral ties.
The stubborn Cuban American mafia in Florida who for almost six decades was enriched at the cost of the business of confrontation with the Island does not understand that times have changed and they cling to the frustrated idea of ruining any small step of rapprochement between Washington and Havana.
The recent success with Cuban migrants in Costa Rica and the dispute planned in the Costa Rican border with Nicaragua has implications for Central America and also Ecuador. It is a plan of the Miami right wing directed to humiliate the Caribbean nation and try to halt the dialogue established with the US authorities.
As it happens these events occurred on days before a new round of talks between delegates of Cuba and the United States scheduled for Tuesday, December 1 that will cover, as it has been done twice a year for several years, the migratory subject and the battle against drug traffic.
Cuba has always called for a legal, orderly and safe emigration of its citizens toward United State territory. However, the same Miami gang, unscrupulous traffickers of persons and ultra conservatives in Washington continue to defend the macabre Law of Cuban Adjustment based on the policy of “wet feet, dry feet”.
This measure still enforced that is part of the blockade against Cuba, stimulates illegal emigration because confers only to the inhabitants of the Island in a disputed and only treatment in the world by admitting them immediately in the United States.
Of course this policy of “wet feet, dry feet” is not applicable to the thousands of Latin American migrants who try to reach US territory every day and, contrarily, are prevented and if they manage to get there their human rights are violated and deported to their respective countries.
The new rapture of the discredited Miami Mafia also intends to create difficulties with the Latin American nations, to divert the prestige of Cuba in the region. Also against is noted role in favor of peace and unity of the Large Homeland and evidently intend to subvert internal order in the Island.
The failed and minority counterrevolution based in Florida is upset that even in that state US citizens favor good relations with their country and the dean of the Caribbean to normalize ties with Washington.
Also they are irritated considerably that Cubans want to live in peace and be happy in spite of the hostility and blockade imposed for more than 50 years. They have managed to do so because they never lost hope, their smile and tenderness in the midst of aggressions.
The Mafia is wrong again. They will never achieve their objective to destroy what Cuba has done in its Revolution since January 1 of 1959 nor thwart the good neighborliness with the US people and step by step now constructs with its leaders, independently of marked differences between both parts.
In the Caribbean nations the people will continue to live in peace, smiling and today dancing to the beat of a popular song in Latin America and Spain and the world entitled “Gozadera”, that calls for the unity of Our America through music and its verse says: “…if you are Latino unfurl your flag…”
